THOUGHTS ABOUT NASA SPACE TRAVEL AND THE FUTURE OF SPACE TRAVEL

While I believe that NASA has done an outstanding job so far and does have relevance for the near future, I believe that we have reached the point that future space flight NEEDS to be taken over by private business. I believe that in the not distant future NASA's role needs to transition to a regulatory agency as opposed to the primary spaceflight authority. My personal ax for grinding is that while government is good for providing massive amounts of money and finding experts for researching a new technology, they are a long term impediment to natural creativity in using the discovered technology. If you feel that I am wrong in this assessment, please feel free to post your argument here. I have a link to the NASA HOME PAGE here: http://www.nasa.gov/, please feel free to use it.

I BELIEVE THAT CHILDREN NEED A STRONG MATHEMATICAL EDUCATION

I believe that a strong basic grasp of mathematical skills is essential to any child aspiring to find an occupation in the aerospace industry. In fact, I believe that it is vital to any child’s basic education. This video game console merges the learning power of flash cards with a video game. It has settings for 8 skill levels to keep kids challenged. It quizzes kids on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division while providing instant feedback on an LCD screen with sound. It also allows for silent play with Mute feature.  It can be switched to a calculator function at the touch of a button. This handheld electronic game requires 2 AAA batteries, which are not included.  It is designed for ages 6-11.
